Our History & Journey
1997 — A Vision for Arab Storytelling
Icon Media Productions was established in Cairo in 1997 — at a time when independent media production in Egypt was still defining its identity. From the outset, we built the company around one conviction: that stories told with honesty, craft, and cultural intelligence have the power to inform, to connect, and to transform.
What began as a pioneering independent production house quickly earned a reputation for documentary and development media of a quality rarely seen in the region. Within our first decade, we had become the production partner of choice for international development organizations, UN agencies, and NGOs working across Egypt and the wider Arab world.
