Description :
My First Words is a literacy training program for children who don’t have
access to schools and education, especially refugee children. We produced
56 episodes teaching the alphabet, numbers, colours, shapes and senses,
using the peer to peer
education method.
A child draws and
writes 3 or 4 different
objects and words,
you can see the
picture growing on
screen, and the words
written. Children also
interview each other
about the meaning
of a word, like “what
does it mean to have
a house, a home?”
